There are times when I need inspiration or a pick me up and thankfully, I’ve “favorited” a lot of links that have been passed on to me in the past and I can come back to them when necessary. And I don’t know why it is, perhaps just that it’s Monday, but I needed a little extra this afternoon to get me through. So here I go, kack again watch a short video that was made about Jeffrey Wright, a physics teacher at Louisville Male Traditional School in Louisville.
One of his comments that really resonated with me was this: “Schools have ’em for six hours a day then the kids go home and whatever atmosphere they have around for the other 18 affects them. And so, you know, schools can change a lot, but we also have to realize that they go home to a completely different environment. What I went home to when I was young was very different than what some of these kids go home to.”
So, take a moment and check out the video, because I really didn’t even get in to what it’s really about. Jeffrey Wright proves to be a pretty fascinating guy and teacher!
